Acai berry is a small purple fruit native to the Amazon rainforest. This acai is typically wild-harvested by cooperatives in South America & have chosen the Euterpe Precatoria variety due to its higher antioxidant count & lower fat level than standard acai (Euterpe Oleracea). In fact, this type of acai berry has one of the highest ORAC values (Oxygen Radical Absorption Capacity) of any food.
